Goldfish

The GOLDFISH is a valve spiral. The shellfish within is used to attach to rocks or corals. This shell has holes on the edge (siphons) and from these the animal expels the water under the edges of the shell.
It’s a marine gastropod and belongs to Haliotidae’s family.
Scientifically it belongs to the species HALIOTIS AWABY and it comes from Japan.
The shell is  quite thin and wavy creating buttons with this main feature. The interior’s color is a characteristic pearly beige golden, quite iridescent. Buttons worked in this material have this particular shade depending on the inclination and the light beam creates a very bright greenish-pink reflections.
